Is Nomusa Dube-Ncube the first female Premier of Durban?
Here is the latest on the Premier of Durban candidate, Nomusa Dube-Ncube.
Nomusa Dube-Ncube has been announced as the provincial premier to succeed the departing Sihle Zikalala.
As reported by ECR news, "Dube-Ncube was sworn in at a special sitting in KZN Legislature at the Surchers Auditorium in Mooi River under the Mpofana Municipality on Wednesday."

1. She has three diplomas in public management, management and leadership, and training and development.
2. She holds a master’s degree in public administration.
3. Dube-Ncube’s political career has come full circle from being mayor of the former North Central Local Council in Durban before it was amalgamated with other municipalities in 2000 to form the Ethekwini Municipality.
4. She is a former ambassador to the Czech Republic.
5. In 2009, she was appointed ANC chief whip in the KwaZulu-Natal legislature.
