Confession: "My wife is going for a weekend year-end party without me"

We're not really that familiar with weekend year-end functions...

Someone has a confession to make...

Every week we release a confession on the streets of Mzansi and get KZN to weigh in with their unfiltered thoughts.

This week a husband shared his concerns about his wife going for a year-end function on her own. What concerns him is that the year-end party is over a weekend and when he suggested that he accompany her, she said no.

This week's confession reads as follows:

"My wife is going away for a work year-end-function.  My issue with that is that it’s going to be an entire weekend; I don’t understand why it has to be a weekend.  I suggested to her that she takes me with but she doesn’t want to hear it.  Am I wrong? Help Josh."

We heard from a listener who shared that Josh should let his wife enjoy Ke December with her colleagues.

It sounds to us like Josh is feeling a bit insecure in his relationship. Perhaps a weekend away is making him feel uneasy because he doesn't trust his wife?

Trust is so important in any relationship dynamic. We think Josh should think about that and work on trust with his wife.
