A fellow KZN listener needs our assistance and this one was really close to home.

We received the following heartbreaking story from a KZN listener:

"My husband and I have suffered 2 miscarriages in the last 2 years, 1 of them went as far as 5 months. It has obviously been devastating both emotionally and physically - my husband has been incredibly supportive.

I am currently seeing a therapist to deal with the trauma but I am a woman of a particular age and my doctor has advised me that I need to consider if I would like to try again sooner rather than later. 

My husband is desperate to have children, but if I am being honest, I do not think I want to try again. The anxiety of whether my next pregnancy - if I am fortunate enough to carry again - and make it to my full term is just too much. 

Do these feelings go away? I do not know anyone close to me who can relate to my situation."

The loss of a child is unbearable, and the healing process has no time limit.

In 2020, J Sbu and his then-partner suffered a miscarriage 4 years ago; his angel baby Smanga, as J Sbu calls him, passed away in his mothers womb at seven months.
