As June comes to a close, it's essential to reflect on Men's Mental Health Month and the importance of prioritising men's health. The month-long awareness campaign aims to encourage men to take better care of their physical and mental well-being, ultimately bridging the gap in lifespan between men and women.

The statistics surrounding men's health are concerning. Studies show that men are less likely to seek healthcare than women, with only three out of five men getting annual physicals. This lack of attention to health can lead to severe consequences, including a higher mortality rate.

In fact, the overall mortality rate for men is 41% higher than for women. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 9 men, highlighting the need for regular check-ups and screenings.

Men's Mental Health Month provides an opportunity to raise awareness and encourage men to take charge of their health. By getting a health checkup and learning more about men's health issues, individuals can show their support and take action.

It's not just about men, women and children can also get involved and be supportive of the men in their lives.

As we conclude Men's Mental Health Month, it's essential to remember that men's health is a year-round priority. Working together to promote awareness and education, we can encourage men to take better care of themselves and live longer, healthier lives.
