Latest: Eskom issues another load shedding warning
Updated | By Stacey and J Sbu
The short notice comes after five units have failed.

According to News24 spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha has issued a statement on Tuesday afternoon saying that load shedding could be implemented "at very short notice".
This is due to a generating unit at Kusile and Majuba respectively that had to be taken offline in order to repair boiler tube leaks.

At the same time, a generating unit each at Kriel, Matimba and Majuba tripped. Tutuka and Kendal also each have generating units whose return to service has been delayed.
Any further loss of generation capacity could lead to load shedding kicking into effect again.
Planned maintenance is 4 888 MW of capacity while the total breakdowns have increased to 16 822 MW.
