If you could sum up 2023 in a meal, what would it be?
We have to agree that there were some challenging parts of 2023, but this year also taught us a lot...
We know that 2023 has been tough in many ways for many people.
But the year is almost over and as we reflect on what was, it is time to set intentions for the New Year with a fresh perspective.
In talking about what was, what are we without food? We celebrate everything with food, therefore in true spirit we asked our Facebook Fam the following: "If you could sum up 2023 in a meal, what would it be?"
The responses indicated the hard year that many have had, but we are happy that they could still find the humour in sharing their meals.
- "Mielie rice dry fish chutney and braised potatoes"
- "Beans and rice very sad indeed"
- "Rice en butter, Water"
- "It would be mixed grill for me, a bit of this and a little of that."
- "Definitely pap and chicken feet with gravy, not good at all"
- "Breyani with lots of elachi."
