When it comes to matters of the heart, there are no rules, hence the saying: 'the heart wants what the heart wants'.

Stacey and J Sbu heard from KZN listener Carla this week for their feature, #TheFixer.

#TheFixer is a feature on Stacey and J Sbu's show in which the duo gives KZN listeners an opportunity to share their dilemmas that they seek advice on. Together with the help of fellow KZN listeners, Stacey and J Sbu try to help the concerned party fix their problem.

So, why then write into Stacey and J Sbu for #TheFixer?

Carla's family are aware that she is dating and that the man she is dating may be a few years older than her, however they had not been in the same room as a couple with them.

He believes that this would be the right thing to do, a courtesy if you will.

Carla, though, disagrees. She believes that as an adult she does not need to explain herself and questions whether it matters that her boyfriend and her dad may have been friends before.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Do you think Carla should speak to her dad and tell him that she is dating a man that he once considered a friend in high school?

Is it appropriate to date a family friend? 🤔 This is Carla's story:
