Heads up! The first Supermoon of the year is nearly here
An experience like no other!
The stars are aligning, the ocean is churning, and our deepest desire is burning. Oh how good it is to witness the Supermoon with our own two eyes!
Several news outlets report that the Buck Supermoon will appear on July 2 and 3. It is said to be brighter than the average full moon.

This Supermoon will be the first of four Supermoons this season.
"A supermoon is when the moon appears a little bit bigger in our sky,” Dr Shannon Schmoll, director of the Abrams Planetarium at Michigan State University, told CNN.

An average full moon is 238,900 miles from Earth, whereas Supermoons are slightly closer. The Buck Supermoon will be 224,895 miles from Earth.
The Buck Supermoon will reach peak illumination on the morning of 3 July at 8:38am our time.
Science Focus shares: "On 3 July, the Moon will rise late, at 10:14pm (UK time). The Buck Supermoon will appear in the constellation of Sagittarius (southeast)."
