There are many ways you can go about making music but here are the top tips that will help on your journey:

1. Do research and learn enough about the craft

The internet is your greatest tool. Research as much as possible and contact other people in the industry. Asking questions will help you become the best DJ that you possibly can as you master this art and gain the necessary technical skills.

2. Practice as much as you can

As clichéd as it sounds, practice makes perfect. The more you do the better you understand the technical aspect of DJing and the more room you have to play and experiment. Making mixtapes and getting as much experience as possible is invaluable.

3. Read the room and blow the roof off!

J Sbu says: "When you start DJing for crowds, read the crowd, what they jamming to and move with their flow."

Improvise and adapt where needed. Any DJ can mix music but a great one plays for the audience.

4.  Don't overuse effect, focus more on timing and transitioning

As you progress through different stages in your DJing career, the tricks start to come in. Instead of worrying about mastering the advanced manoeuvre, focus on the basics first.

Timing and transitioning is key. Pull this off and you're golden.

5. Have fun and show it

Good vibes are infectious. When an audience sees that you're having fun, they relate to you better and join in on the fun. People love a DJ who knows how to groove and move.

Good luck and we can't wait to see you on the dance floor!
