The artistry, imagery, and symbolism seen in this video is so profound. Kendrick shed light on the challenges and struggles these role-models and popular figures have faced.

Although some of these people may be in jail or no longer with us, their legacy proceeds them. Kendrick describes further how a single moment in history can lead to a life-time of lessons, as well as effects for many.

The clever name of this series gives Kendrick a platform with artistic freedom to speak his truth straight from "The Heart".

The public figures have their hands shown all over the cover. The CGI transformation or shape-shift occurs during the music video and lines up intentionally with the lyrics.
