Do you think men having sex with older women is a rite of passage?
Thandolwethu was both surprised and shocked to hear her two male friends share so casually that their first sexual experiences were with much older women. At the time, her two friends were both under the age of 15 and the women were over the age of 20.
When Thandolwethu pointed out that the above constitutes rape, her friends brushed her off by stating that as far as they were concerned, this was normal and 'a rite of passage' for men.
