Year in Review: La Lucia bagpiper, Michael Cairns went international after our interview with him

Him and his band shared a bagpipe Christmas tune with us!

Whilst South Africa - particularly KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng - experienced the worst civil unrest it had seen since the Apartheid era, everyone wanted to share peace and love in their own kind of way.
This local man, Michael Cairns, was documented by one of the men from a La Lucia community watch group on the night of Wednesday, 14 July 2021.

He was seen walking in the opposite direction of where the roadblocks were placed, peacefully blowing into his traditional Irish/Scottish instrument.
We thought to ourselves 'Who is this guy?' Then went on a search to find him and that we did!
