You’ve probably heard the saying “hanging by a thread”. Well, this woman said “Nah, make it hair.”
Leila Noone, a 39-year-old professional circus performer (and now officially a superhuman), decided one random day in California to dangle from a tree by her hair for 25 minutes and 11.3 seconds.
Why, you ask? Well, because records are meant to be broken… and because apparently, gravity is just a suggestion when you’re Leila.
The mind-bending stunt went down at the Redwood National and State Parks.
Amongst the towering ancient trees, one woman casually swung upside down from a branch like Rapunzel who took pole fitness classes.
Now before you ask, yes; this is an actual Guinness World Record category.
The previous record was held by Australian Suthakaran Sivagnanathurai, who managed 23 minutes and 19 seconds back in 2011.
However Leila came through like, “Hold my hair clip.”
With a harness attached to her hair (I repeat - to. her. hair.), she not only hung there but even threw in a yoga pose mid-air.
Valid, because why not show off a little when you’re redefining what hair care products were designed to handle.
So why would anyone put their scalp through this?
Leila says it wasn’t just for the bragging rights.
Leila wanted to show what the human mind is capable of when you truly commit, and apparently, what your follicles can handle too.
Honestly… our scalps said ‘not a chance’ just reading this.
