Should fireworks be banned?

Today is Guy Fawks Day, an annual commemoration observed on 5 November, primarily in Great Britain, although also observed in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and our very own country amongst others within the Commonwealth of Nations.

Also known as Bonfire Night or Firework Night, celebrations that require fireworks are a cause for concern considering the dangers that they pose on people and animals. Today we ask 'Should fireworks be banned outside of controlled/secure events'?
