Elon Musk issued a humorous late-night response to Twitter’s preparations to sue and force him to complete a $44-billion takeover of the company. He posted a meme late on Sunday featuring images of himself laughing with captions recounting the events of the past few months.

According to Eskom Group CEO, André de Ruyter, the risk of loadshedding will remain until there is more capacity available to the grid. But he is hopeful that Eskom will be able to lift loadshedding in the next 10 days.

SA Rugby has warned Springbok fans to be aware of online websites claiming to have Test match tickets for sale. Fans have increasingly reported being conned into buying tickets for Springbok matches, only for the seller to default having taken payment.

Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the tavern shooting in Sweetwaters, Pietermaritzburg, which left four people dead. Police minister Bheki Cele said that the spate of shootings in taverns in Soweto, Katlehong, and Pietermaritzburg at the weekend does not appear to have been coordinated.

5. 

About 500 couples celebrated their unions under a blue sky on Sunday in a New York event aimed at healing the wounds of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hosted by the Lincoln Centre - the famed arts complex on Manhattan's Upper West Side - the event was billed as a celebration for couples whose weddings had been disrupted.
