Childline KZN has a new three-digit phone number ‒ 116, which the organisation says will make it easier for children to remember and call for help from anywhere in South Africa and even abroad.

A KwaZulu-Natal surfer had the experience of a lifetime when two humpback whales breached the surface and caused a huge splash in the area he was surfing along the South Coast. Wez Singleton, who was surfing somewhere near Port Shepstone on Wednesday morning, said the two whales were roughly 60 metres away from where he was.
