On Wednesday, 2 February 2022, the petrol price (both 93 and 95) will be hiked by 53c a litre, while diesel prices will increase by between 79c and 80c.

The South African Post Office (SAPO) has launched an online service for the renewal of motor vehicle licenses.
The service is available on www.sapomvl.co.za. Payment is done through Masterpass, which the user can download from the Google Play Store for Android devices and the Apple App Store for Apple devices.

The government has announced new COVID-19 regulations. From Tuesday, for the first time since the pandemic started, South African schools will be fully reopened. Other changes include that people who test positive for the virus but display no symptoms, will no longer need to isolate
