Things change. There was once a time we were rocking Apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur, and now we can’t stop thinking about how that was an all-time low.

We are diving into the things that we do now that we are leaving behind in 2023.

The East Coast Breakfast team have reached out to our fellow Durbanites on this sensitive matter. Here’s what they had to say:

  • Sky reckons that playing Nkalakatha at rugby games
  • Crocs is what Darren wants to get rid of
  • Carmen says we should leave Instagram calls behin
  • Voice notes that are too long
  • People who tag you in competitions on social media

So, get ready to cringe in the future because some of our current habits are bound to make us facepalm in just five short years.

Remember when we thought extending our phones on a stick for the perfect angle was the epitome of cool? Next year, we may wonder why we ever thought fanny packs or Birkenstocks were a vibe.

Let’s brace ourselves for some cringe cleansing as we look back on our current quirks. After all, the only constant in life is change, and, apparently, so is the definition of cool.
