In October, East Coast Radio celebrated 24 years since its inception. To celebrate, the breakfast team had a cake-off.

The winner of the challenge was Darren Maule, but it was later discovered that Keri Miller had cheated her way to the oven.

The discovery resulted in an investigation and the launch of a Commission of Inquiry into Cake Capture. Commissioner Ashton Naidoo, after listening to all the findings, found Keri Miller guilty.

Miller was sentenced on four counts; bringing the show into disrepute, fraud, misrepresentation, cheating and lying.

As a result, she has had to contribute to society by way of community service. Dressed like the criminal she is,  Keri walked along the Casuurina Beach (better known as Beach Bums) in Westbrook, picking up rubbish.

The team has seen a change in her after the sentencing,  with Sky saying that she seems to have been rehabilitated.

You can also play part in making your area clean and possibly win R10 000. All you have to do is post pictures of yourself cleaning your local area n social media and use the hashtag #ECRcleanup. T's and C's apply.
