#Boardroom101: The ethics line - Why you must always act with integrity

The list is endless – using company resources for personal gain, ducking out earlier than everyone (habitually), promoting your best friend, giving a contract to a related party or making racist or sexist comments about colleagues.
Remember you’re being watched, and the policeman’s name is the Ethics Line or Tip-offs Anonymous. It's derogatorily known as the Mpimpa (snitching) line. All major companies now have an Ethics Line - you only have to Google 'Ethics Line' to see what I’m talking about.
The internet will suddenly spew out Ethics Line Sasol or Bidvest's Ethics Line. So no matter how junior or senior you are, others are able to report your behaviour. No-one can use the excuse: "I was afraid of him; she is my boss" anymore.
