#Boardroom101: The Do's and Don'ts at work functions
As employees, work functions such as Christmas parties and promotional events are something we all look forward to. You can let your hair down and, in the case of a Christmas party, we all tell ourselves we’ve earned the right to have fun. But there are a few things you need to remember.

Before you leap for joy at talk of a work function, remember you’re on probation at every work-related event - even at a party. Do not be fooled by the informality of your usually serious or stern boss, they’re still watching you just as they would if you were executing a very important project.
After all, this is not a party with your buddies – this is still a work function. Be on your guard. What you do at the corporate function might sound the death knell for your career.
