Beyoncé Lemonade: So is Jay Z off the hook?

The twitterverse exploded this weekend after Beyoncé dropped her new record Lemonade. So what’s all the fuss about?

Beyoncé’s fans, the Beehive, went into a stinging frenzy on social media this weekend after Queen B released her latest album Lemonade.

So here’s the deal. The record came hours after Mrs. Knowles-Carter released an hour-long film on TV that included clips from the new album.

A song that really got fans talking is “Apathy.” Why? Well, fans say the track alludes to Jay Z’s cheating.

Here are some of the lyrics:

“So what are you gonna say at my funeral now that you’ve killed me? Here lies the body of the love of my life whose heart I broke without a gun to my head…Her heaven will be a love without betrayal. Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks.”

Beyoncé also apparently sings about the ‘other’ woman she says, “he better call Becky with the good hair.” Fans have since been hating on Becky who everyone seems to think is fashion designer, Rachel Roy. She was married with Jay’s former partner Damon Dash.  People also seem to think she’s the reason for Solange’s outburst in the lift in 2014. Remember that?

So why is everyone attacking Rachel? Let’s not forget it takes two to tango and if infidelity is really what Beyoncé’s singing about then Jay Z is very much to blame as well. It’s not like Rachel did it all on her own?

Should Jay Z issue a public apology to Beyoncé?
