5 D.I.Y Festive Decoration Ideas
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
Struggling to switch things up this festive season? Don't you worry, these tips and tricks will make your home look like a festive wonder land.

Decorate your home this festive season and spread the cheer with friends and family with these cute, simple decorative ideas you can do at home.
1. Holiday shakers
Use simple, transparent salt shakers and add tiny Christmas toys like this deer and Christmas trees to start a conversation on the table.

2. Rustic entrance
Give your visitors a warm welcome with these small pine tree branches, tied together with a ribbon and hung on a door.

3. Paper gift packets
Making packaging to be proud of requires little more than thread and scrap paper. Let warm woolen mittens and other soft goods shine—sans box—by layering two pieces of craft paper together and drawing your chosen shape (star, stocking, or other Yuletide symbol) on the top piece. Cut through both layers of paper, then sandwich a gift between the two shapes and stitch along the edges using contrasting thread.

4. Honeycomb wreath
Wrapping-paper, paper-towel, and mailing tubes have never looked so fine. To up-cycle yours into something front-door-worthy, use a knife to cut each tube into two-inch slices. Then, lay a bowl (ours measured six inches across) rim down on a flat surface and arrange the cardboard slices around the bowl, using this photo as a guide. Hot-glue the slices where their sides meet. If you like, perch jingle bells inside.

5. Festive centre piece
Branch out of from the conventional table dressings by using an extra-long tree limb as a platform for displaying ornaments. Simply knot lengths of string around the branch and hang it from a row of five or six hooks.

Dazzle your family and friends with these aweosme ideas.
