2020 Year in Review: Mother of bullied Durban girl breaks silence on the Breakfast show

The Breakfast team caught up with the learner's mother to find out if there was any progress after her daughter's viral video.
Following a video that tugged at the heartstrings of the public in KZN of a a school girl in tears while telling her sad story of being bullied, the Breakfast team got hold of the girl's mother to find out how the girl was doing.

Vanessa, who is the mother of the girl, expressed her shock when she found out about the video on Facebook.
"I didn't know about the video until I got a message saying this video was on Facebook," Vanessa told the Breakfast team.

She further stated that the school had become more vigilant of victims of bullying after her daughter's incident and had gone as far as raising awareness among other learners in the school.
Another positive was that the young girl had started counseling and was responding well to it.
