What relocating to a new city looks like for some people

South Africa is filled with people who push the limits in making a plan.

Packing up and moving cities can be a fresh start for some people and, therefore, a big deal.

Moving cities can sometimes be the only option for people trying to turn over a new leaf. Buying a bus ticket or jumping in your car to head to your new chapter isn't always possible.

Hitchhiking is the next best thing and offers people, who don't have the funds, another way of moving around. It might not be the safest way of travelling, but it's certainly a more cost-effective approach.

A video that got us thinking about hitchhiking in a new way showed a man sitting at the back of a truck and trailer, seemingly hitching a ride.

We are used to seeing hitchhikers standing on the side of the road holding up a small sign indicating where they are heading. This time, we saw a man catching a ride in a more literal sense.

His method does not sit well with road safety and safety in general. From the looks of it, we assume the truck driver was unaware he had a passenger on board.

The man was holding onto the metal step at the back of the trailer, but was not secure. This means he could be seriously injured if anything were to happen on the road.

The person who posted the video shared it as an amusing account of someone shifting between cities. Many people found it funny, but it shows the extent to which some people go to move around.
