We knew Cape Town was pricey, but damn, this is hectic...

It's not the first time people have complained about the exorbitant prices of everything in Cape Town and we doubt it will be the last.

Living in the Mother City doesn't come cheap, it seems you have to fork out money to live in such beauty. We doubt international tourists have any problems with it. However, local tourists and the city's residents have often complained about the sometimes irrational pricing.

Popular South African model Jaden Hoedemaker recently shared how an expensive ticket at a parking lot in Cape Town got him thinking creatively.

While he did not want to mention the shopping centre parking by name, he was happy to share the jump in the hourly pricing schedule.

The pricing started reasonably, with motorists paying R10,00 for 0-2 hours, R20,00 for 2-3 hours, and R150,00 for 3-6 hours. That is a big leap in the pricing. This did not sit well with him, so he decided to try to beat the 'system'.

It was a cheeky little hack that required time and depended on how much time you needed at the shopping centre.

Watch what he did to beat paying R150,00 but still maximise his time at the shopping centre.
