Cereal box rat gets set free… but nature had other plans

This is what you call the cycle of life in nature.

You probably don't want to find anything unusual in your box of cereal – unless it's meant to come with a toy or activity.

But an Australian man got more than he bargained for when he discovered a rat inside his cereal box. To do the right thing, he set it free in the garden.

However, the feel-good moment took an unexpected turn. As nature would have it, the story didn’t end with a peaceful release.

As the rat navigated its way out of the packet and ran off toward the trees, a bird grabbed it and took off.

Many people weighed in, calling it a wild display of nature at work.

While the rat-in-the-cereal moment was shocking enough, it was the unexpected appearance of a bird swooping in to catch the rat that truly stole the show.

One person wrote, "So what you're saying is that you effectively gave that bird Uber Eats."

Some people assumed the rat had been sealed inside the box and urged the man to take legal action.

However, it’s believed the packet was left open, making it more of a home invasion than a packaging fail.

Either way, that rat's life and death were captured on TikTok. How many rats can say that?
