When the teacher asks what rhymes with 'hit'

When the teacher asks what rhymes with 'hit'

This has got to be the funniest, yet realest approach to teaching kids rhyming words.

We know kids are honest beings, there's not much that they can keep to themselves.

That's all part of growing up, the honest approach to everything, not to mention the inability to filter anything.

One teacher approached this candid honesty from one of her students in the most surprising and wholesome way. We thought it was fitting to share it with you all as we appreciate our little ones this holiday season.

In the video, we see the teacher standing at the front of the class and her students are seated on the floor.

The teacher is teaching rhyming words today and so as she says, Sit, Wit, It, Hit, etc, one of her students, Lauren raises her hand to answer.

This little girl shocked her teacher speechless by saying, "Shit". Please note we apologise if the use of this word in this article is offensive, it is just being used in it's true form to indicate what was said in the video.

Please note that this video is not for sensitive viewers.

We were surprised to see the way the teacher responded (in a good way). Because far too often, we react negatively towards kids when they say a word that isn't quite becoming of a child.

Instead of shouting or reprimanding the little girl, the teacher accepted her answer, because she was correct and just casually asked for her not to use that example again.

It was all in the name of teaching and learning.
