Schools are attempting social media trends, and while it works for some, traditionalists might not be too happy about it, especially given the recent viral trend making its way through some South African schools

Videos have been circulating on social media showing students participating in the classroom freeze challenge. The challenge involves students inside the classroom committing to a frozen position. Think of the childhood game 'Stuck in the Mud' meets the Mannequin challenge.

Nattie College, a private Zimbabwean school, took on the challenge and posted about it on its social media. The teacher walked in after the school break and found her class frozen, leaving her speechless.

Many people took to the comments section to share how they love it when kids can have clean fun. This group effort showed the students' ability to create something as a team. It also showed good form as some students took on challenging poses.

Let's emphasise clean fun as we circle back to a story about a grade 11 pupil from Northern Cape who crashed a teacher's vehicle after taking it for a joyride without permission.
