For as far back as we can remember we know that your salary slip is a personal document.

Also something that many people including your Human Resources department will tell you that you shouldn't share with anyone, nor leave it lying around.

There are varied reasoning behind this, but the main one that we are aware of is that it may be the cause of dispute amongst employees.

In case you were wondering, the reason behind the possible dispute could be due the varied salaries being paid to different people within the establishment.

Now this is especially true in sports. Because as much as many a time athletes transfer values are broadcasted across the media, their month-to-month salaries are meant to be private, for the most part anyway.

The sanctitude of one such footballer's monthly salary was revealed a while back when he forget it in his car when he sent his car to the garage.

Raheem Sterling, English Professional Footballer, left his payslip in his vehicle when it went to the garage. And it was found by one of the workers.

The successful player now plays for Chelsea, as a winger and attacking midfielder, but back in 2019 he played for Manchester City.

We think it's important to note that "in July 2015, following a lengthy dispute over a new contract, he was signed by Manchester City in a transfer potentially worth £49 million (R992,308,800), the highest transfer fee ever paid for an English player at the time." (Wikipedia)

Safe to say that he is a valuable football player with what we assume is a hefty payslip.

But little did we realise how hefty a payslip it was till it was leaked online.

Now this must've been a big media buzz and a difficult skit for the PR people to spin. His earnings equated to £ 2.208333.33, which is R 44721399.93.

Can you even imagine the taxes he has to pay...What would you even do with that much moola?

Finding ways to materialise on that kind of money is easy when you don't have it, but when you do, we're not certain how it works.
