Swimmers run for safety as snake joins their pool party
Updated | By Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
Snakes on planes are more like snakes in pools. People rush aside as a snake surprises them in a pool in India.

When you're on holiday, you don't expect to be unpleasantly surprised. The whole idea of being in holiday mode is to relax.
But this was not the case for several people who were enjoying a swim in a popular pool in Uttarakhand, India.
A video shared by one of the holidaymakers shows tourists trying to flee the water when a snake comes gliding through. The scene looks like something out of a horror movie, with the snake moving through the water at top speed.
The incident unlocks a whole new fear.

The video doesn't show where the snake ended up, but we see it swimming across the pool and reaching outside. At one point, the crowds stumble over one another, and then the video ends.
CBS News shared the incident on social media, but it got us thinking about the video of the lion in the supermarket. This could easily have been mistaken for AI, but this was not the focus of the discussion in the comments.
Instead of talking about how scary this was, people began picking on the pool and how the swimmers should be more scared about swimming in that pool.
One person said, "But why does it look like the snake is running screaming too?"
