As a mother (and as a father), there are definitely moments where an innate sense of anxiety can take over, especially when you are out in public with your children. Of course, this sense wasn't as pronounced pre-pandemic.

The level of security we give ourselves when moving around during pandemic days comes from wearing masks, washing our hands, and using sanitiser - all the safety protocols that we should be following. But with kids, it can be tricky...

Kids love to be out and about, keeping them indoors for long periods can be hazardous (we mean this in a lighthearted way), to say the least. So obviously in taking them out, you want to make sure that they are equipped with the tools in staying safe.

A mother made an interesting discovery about the bottles of sanitiser that she sent to school with her kids, and decided to do something that is literally life-changing.

"Jolene de Sousa from Welkom noticed that her children's sanitiser bottles remained full and unused after school, so she came up with a simple solution to a problem that won't be leaving us for a good while." (Business Insider)

De Sousa created an easy-to-use wristband that dispenses sanitiser on-the-go, and it is called, SQ- easy.

"The wristband dispenses sanitiser as you need it. De Sousa approached Checkers with the idea, and the buyers loved it. The product is now available at 23 Checkers outlets in the Free State and Northern Cape." (Business Insider)

This sounds so simple and yet life-changing, and we are so excited about it. Because it ensures that your little ones are equipped with being able to to sanitise on-the-go. But more than that, it can be used by adults too, and we are all about convenience.

We think the best part about the SQ-easy is that it is versatile and doesn't have to be used for only sanitiser. In fact, de Sousa mentioned that with the climate that we experience in SA it would be great for sunscreen, and just in time for the holidays.

"The multi-purpose band which comes in a variety of colours has received a seal of approval from South African cricket player Dean Elgar who uses it for sunscreen on the cricket pitch." (Business Insider)
