The realities of living in a 'health hazard'

Bindi, a 54-year-old mum living in a flat in West Yorkshire, UK, is struggling to move on from failed relationships, lost loves, and is living in what can only be described as a 'health hazard'.

Someone once told us that your mental manifestations can peak into your physical world and we think that that's what's happened with this mother and widower in the UK.

Bindi moved into her new place two years ago in an attempt to be closer to her son, but she still hasn't settled in and her apartment looks like a messy affair. She has been married three times, and is still struggling with the loss of her second husband of 15 years and her recently failed marriage of two years.

In an article by Mirror, Bindi explains: "Bereavement is partly why I've held onto a lot of my things and not really let them go because they remind me of times and memories."

We thought that this was important to cover as many people suffer from failing to let things go and moving on. Many specialists in psychology are of the belief that clearing up clutter can change your mood and can create a reduction in anxiety and stress.

Bindi clearly has some mental baggage to deal with and has acknowledged that, and that's why she sought out help from the TV show, 'Filthy House SOS'. These guys come into your house and help you clean and organise, promoting the mental freedom that comes with cleaning.

The guys from the show come in and are shocked at the amount of clutter and stuff in the rooms. Bindi, feeling embarrassed, 'explains that she is keeping old belongings because it gives her security having dealt with a lot of loss in her life, but deep down realises it's false.'

Watch a short insert from another episode of 'Filthy House SOS' to see the way some people are living. It's pretty shocking...

We hope that Bindi can move forward now that she has received help with her home and that those people who are going through similar experiences can find the courage to tackle their clutter and seek help if needed.
