President Cyril Ramaphosa seems to be winning Mzansi's hearts with his recent interactions with South Africa's youth.
The little darlings have been showing off their unique and 'oh, so playful' nature as they have engage with Ramaphosa in public. We first saw them flock around him at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre earlier this month, and now, we see him match a little girl's energy by bringing out his own child-like nature.
In a video shared on social media by Athi Geleba, head of digital communications in the Presidency, Ramaphosa greets a family and gets excited to see one of his youngest fans. He picks up a little girl and immediately recognises her precious smile.
The toddler greets him, and as soon as she notices she's being recorded, she gets into character by making a hand gesture and sticking out her tongue.
The energetic girl gets everyone's attention and even leaves them laughing out loud with her innocent pose. There's something super inspiring and relatable about seeing our president interacting with children; it reminds us of his humanity and ability to connect with the people.
The girl's mother commented on the video, saying, "I can’t believe my daughter stole the nation's Mr President, it was truly a pleasure meeting you! So humble and down to earth! This is who I call my president. My daughter doesn’t usually just let anyone carry her, so I was so emotional when she felt comfortable in his heart."
