When you think about relationships, there has always been this notion that when you get married, things change.

Now, of course, each to their own, but most of the time, there is a shift in gear and you have to adapt.

Whether that means learning how to be better whilst living with one another, or giving each other space, or even dialling back or revving up with your partner's love language.

This woman is in a tricky situation as she describes her husband as being overly affectionate.

Now if we are being honest, we were a bit taken aback by her story, because traditionally many women share that their husbands lose sight of them after marriage.

And mostly forget that affection goes hand in hand with intimacy.

In her post she said that her husband is overly affectionate to the point where he hugs her each time she leaves or enters a room. That does sound a bit 'clingy'...

She went on to say: "We have been together for 5 years and every time I bring it up and tell him I need space he acts like I hate him and want to divorce him. I don’t know what to do and I’m losing my mind." (Reddit)

As much as she says she loves him, it is becoming a bit too much for her.

She even explained that sometimes on her way to the toilet, he would grab her and hold her, to the point where she has to hold her bladder.

That does sound a bit excessive. She did receive some sound advice from others who have experienced the same or similar.
