It's not often that you would find a mother who decides to go back to school.

Because as much as women are known as beings who can do pretty much anything, not all women have the means or the support.

It is for this very reason that we find it so inspiring that a mother of nine kids graduated with her medical degree at the age of 41.

As a teenager, Sarah Merrill had a big dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. But, as life happens, she became a mother and that took priority.

"She took the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) while pregnant with her daughter and had plans to go straight into medical school after college, but changed her mind and decided to be a stay-at-home mom while her daughter was young." (GoodMorningAmerica)

Without really planning to, they grew their family in a matter of 12 years. They have four daughters and five sons, all between the ages of 20 and eight.

Merrill thought about her medical career dream often and decided to retake her MCAT when her youngest kids were two and three years old.

"When Merrill was accepted at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, she and her family moved from Pennsylvania to Arizona so she could attend." (GoodMorningAmerica)

One of the things that stood out for us and something we know to be true, is the fact that without the support of her family, she wouldn't have been able to achieve her dream.
