Rest well, Zoleka...

We woke up this morning to the sad and emotional news of Zoleka Mandela's passing.
A woman who not only created her own legacy for her six kids, but also flew the Mandela flag high until her very last days.
She has fought breast cancer many times before, but this time her "ongoing treatment for metastatic cancer to the hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain, and spinal cord" came to an end when she passed whilst in the presence of her loved ones.

Carol Ofori has always been a big fan of Zoleka Mandela. Not just because of her work, but also because she so bravely shared her journey with the world.
When she found out about her passing this morning, she shared that the team were trying to get Zoleka Mandela on 'The Carol Ofori Podcast'. Her team said that she would be keen once she regained her strength.
Carol Ofori shared that as much as they follow each other on social media, they have not met and she had always wanted to interview her.

Carol shared how crazy it was that the news of her passing happened to be announced on the same day that William Nicol Drive in Johannesburg is being renamed Winnie Mandela Drive.
We hope that her family, especially her kids, are guided by their mother's ever-glowing strength and love.
And we send lots of love and light to the Mandela family on the passing of such a powerful, influential, inspiring South African legend.
