Being a full-time mother is not an easy job. It is a full-time job being a parent - being there for your kids all day, everyday can be mentally and physically draining. Not to say that it is not a fulfilling experience.

Of course, we believe that children are a blessing, but doing it during COVID-19 has been a unique experience... On the road of learning about ourselves and about our passions, we found Payal Ramdhial, the owner of a business called, The Healthy Plate.

She shared her story with us and it shows the highs and lows that we experience as parents, and how you can do anything you put your mind to with some faith and a thriving mental attitude.

After losing both her parents, she went on a downward path and that affected her eating habits. This is something that many of us can relate to, when we eat to deal with not addressing how we feel, it's never really a good thing.

But food is meant to be an enjoyable experience and this is what Payal lives and breathes. She believes in wholesome ingredients and that practicing a healthy lifestyle has everything to do with enjoying your food. Her appreciation for spices has a modern take on an age-old Indian tradition.

We love the way she speaks about her evolution in terms of her womanhood, becoming a mother and an entrepreneur. She is a visionary, who wants to create and serve other mothers. The one thing that we took away from her this Woman Crush Wednesday is that she wants other mothers to know that we are all allowed to have days where we feel deflated, but you are not alone in it...

Her words resonate with other mothers and that has been the key ingredient in her success. Her long list of accolades is definitely a clear indication that her positive outlook works and that with a little bit of effort and self love, you can control the outcome of your day.
