Girl's viral GRWM makeup video divides the internet

What are your thoughts around kids wearing makeup?

While some parents are okay with their children wearing makeup, others strongly oppose it.
In addition to the effects makeup can have on a child's skin, there's also the notion that makeup is meant for adults. It is used to enhance a person's look and isn't always organic, which can be harmful to a child's skin and may even have psychological effects on their idea of beauty as they grow older.
This is why social media users were surprised to see a young girl, around six or seven-years-old, showing off her makeup routine before school, which was shared online.
In the video, the young girl is seated at her dressing table applying what appears to be foundation with a blending sponge.
She then asks her mother, who is in the background curling her daughter's hair, how many pumps of blush she should use. Mom initially says one, but then changes her mind and says three.
The mom, who manages her daughter's social media pages, was publicly shamed by other mothers who felt it was inappropriate for her to let her young daughter use makeup.
One user commented: "Yeah to play at home but for her to actually be getting ready to go to school like this at 4 is sick".
Another said: "She’s a LITTLE girl!!!!! She has allllll her teens to put on makeup! This is what happens when you prefer to be “bestie” with your child instead of parent. SMH".
Not everyone had a problem with the child wearing makeup.
One commented: "I like how your letting her express herself it’s literally just makeup it’s not that serious she’s having fun that’s all that matters".

The mother spoke about the challenges of getting pregnant with her daughter, Evie.
She said, "I couldn’t get pregnant with my second son and had to be put on medication to get pregnant, with Evie, it took 7 years. I thought I was done just with my two sons, and I was perfectly fine. Then along came Evie, my girl, so you better believe I will let her be happy and girly and put on her heels, boots, dresses, nails and makeup all she wants."
The mother said that people should not concern themselves with what she allows her daughter to do and not do. She also said that one day, she knows Evie will outgrow makeup, but for now, she is bonding with her over makeup.
