Bride asks pregnant guest to "try not to look pregnant"

What in the world is wrong with some people?

We are very well aware that there are brides out there who envision the perfect wedding day.

A day that is fit for royalty, a dream come true...

So, it comes as no surprise to us that sometimes they can be a bit unreasonable in their requests.

But because it is their wedding day, as a collective, we give them a free pass on this day.

We drew the line on this occasion though because, in our opinion, the bride was just being unreasonable.

A woman shared a tweet and it read: "Just got invited to a wedding in January… they asked me to try not to look pregnant because I’ll take attention. Being as I’ll be 7 months pregnant I declined the invite (Don’t even know why I was invited in the first place)." (X)

Let's unpack that for a moment: how was she supposed to not draw attention to the baby bump that was most likely visible at this point?

We get that your wedding day is meant to be all about you, but you don't have to be snooty about it. Like the friend said, why invite her in the first place?

Here's what people had to say about the post that had over 440k views:

"I’ll never understand the obsession with being the absolute center of attention on your wedding day. What’s the big deal if one of the invitees is pregnant? It’s not like she’ll go out of her way to make herself noticed."

"I’m not sure why they invited you, it shouldn’t detract from the day. One of my bridesmaids was 5mths pregnant when I got married and it wasn’t an issue."

"It’s not the same, but someone once said they wanted me to be a bridesmaid as long as I could guarantee I wouldn’t have any seizures because it would take attention away from them I was like “…why did you ask me?”
