As we dwell on times of uncertainty, with the rising oil and fuel prices, we are reminded that sometimes all we need is a little bit of nostalgia to take us back to better times.

In this case, it's got to be the return of - or should we rather say the recreation of, an oldie but goodie, the Chocolate Log. Almost like the return of the prodigal son, Kayley's Chocolates has recreated their version of the Chocolate Log, named Choc-O-Log.

We remember when the announcement of the discontinuation of Chocolate Log was revealed. Consumers were not just upset but dearly hurt.

For some it may just seem like a chocolate, what's the big deal, right?

But that's the thing, food tends to resonate with our memories, and with this one it had to do with accessing that part of the mind that reveals good times. So we were not at all surprised when there was an online petition to bring the Chocolate Log back.

We caught up with the owner of Kayley's Chocolates, Jonathan Waksman, who shared a bit about their company as well as why they decided to create a nostalgic South African chocolate.

We were certainly excited to hear that many stores are starting to roll out of the Choc-O-Log. If you would like to find out more about the range of offerings that Kayley's Chocolates has, then you may contact them on their Facebook page as their website is undergoing maintenance.
