Women in KwaZulu-Natal are doing the things that matter in this day and age.

And girl, oh girl, are we proud of them. We were first introduced to Thobile Tops Mkhwanazi last year when she was Carol Ofori's woman crush.

She now returns with an epic event hosted by her women empowerment organisation, Sisterhood Connect

Sisterhood Connect is described as "an inspirational initiative and a powerful network that prides itself in essentially Celebrating and Connecting Women".

It was truly humbling to hear what the primary aim of Sisterhood Connect is.

"To cultivate, augment and nourish the advocacy and legacy of Sisterhood within all aspects of our lives. It is an art of love through the empowerment & emancipation of WOMEN.

"Behind Every Successful Woman is a Tribe of other Successful Women who have Her back."

The above quote is said to stand as the epitome of the vision of Sisterhood Connect. Sometimes achieving a point of success or true emancipation takes having those uncomfortable conversations, and we trust Tops to do that for our community of women and men.

Thobile Tops Mkhwanazi will be hosting the Sisterhood Connect Experience, a Women's (and Men's) Empowerment Lifestyle Inaugural Event.

The event will be taking place on the 28th of October 2023.

The event will be one that is all about connecting and celebrating each other through enlightening, empowering, and encouraging conversations.

The day will see a Men's Panel with Legend Manqele, Thapelo Mokoena, and Nkululeko Maseko from the newly opened Brownsugar store.

Food, Entertainment, Networking, Connection and Fun. Silomo Ntombela and Sibu Msimang will be showcasing their part of the market.

The theme of the event is 'Hold On' and speaks to the idea of waiting, breathing, and taking stock.

We live in a world that can throw obstacles at us and sometimes giving up is the only option. But this event encourages both men and women to push through, and "be patient and trust the journey."
