Notties craft beer secret ingredient!

After travelling from Port Shepstone to Notties the team were ready to sit back and enjoy a cold one! 

We were whisked away for a beer brewing experience by Peter the owner of Notties Brewery. 

After taste testing the team were ready to craft their own unique beer.   

During the tour, the brew master was kind enough to share some hidden craft beer secrets with us that we would like to share with you!

The Top Four things you didn’t know about Notties craft beer and one Top Secret exposed: 

1. The Notties Brewery was established in 1996 on the present site but started a couple of years ago in a shed on the premises. At the time there was only one other craft brewery in South Africa. 

2. The water used in Notties' beer is sourced from their borehole and is pure and completely untreated 

3. Some of Notties' ingredients are locally sourced but THE secret herbs and spices come from… wait for it… overseas

4. Nottingham road brewery is the first micro-brewery in South Africa to can their beer

5. Nothing is wasted… except the customers! - LOL
