VIDEO: Big fish on light tackle
Today we see an angler catching a big fish on what does not look like very sturdy tackle.
I am not sure what type of fish he ends up catching.
It does look a bit like a tarpon to me and perhaps you can let me know what species this is.
I have heard of some big shad taking mackerel baits here in KZN over the past week.
It sure seems that the bigger shad are keen on mackerel at the moment.
I have also been told of big flatfish feeding around South and North Pier in Durban. I believe these have been busting anglers recently.
The angler in our footage today gets help from a boat in his bid to land a large fish.
It is great to see the fish released at the end of the tussle.
