Brazilian edges Logie in a cracker

Travis Logie has lost in the second round of the Quiksilver Pro France.
The Durban surfer was eliminated despite an impressive heat score of 17.37 on Friday.
Logie was unlucky to be up against a sizzling Gabriel Medina. The Brazilian scored a perfect ten on his way to a heat total of 18.17.
Jordy Smith is still in contention in France. Smith has a third round date with Kieren Perrow.
Kelly Slater will meet Aritz Aranburu in his third round heat, while Mick Fanning will be up against Ramzi Boukhiam.
Fanning currently tops the world championship standings.
Slater is second and Smith third.
