Zuma suspended from ANC – reports

Former African National Congress president Jacob Zuma has been suspended from the party.

According to the SABC, the party's National Executive Committee took the decision during its meeting in Boksburg at the weekend.
The former president has been campaigning for the MK Party, which he helped to launch several weeks ago.
According to the public broadcaster and News24, the party says Zuma has violated rule 25 of the ANC constitution that relates to member discipline.

It's understood the ANC secretary general Fikile Mbalula was instructed to write to the former president informing him of the decision.
