Zulu faction to challenge King Misuzulu’s crowning

A Zulu royal family
faction backing Prince Simakade kaZwelithini believes King Misuzulu's ascension
to the throne was unlawful and invalid.

It has been sharing details of a legal challenge launched against the royal's official coronation.
The matter has been set down for May and June.
Speaking at a media briefing in Durban yesterday, Prince Thokozani Zulu says they will challenge King Misuzulu's succession to the throne.

"We rebut all the deceitful purveyance of half-truths that seek to say that once a certificate has been issued it can't be revoked.
He says that can't be true.
"That misinformation is purveyed in a deceitful fashion to mislead society." The royals also believe that consultations held between the family and government were not carried out properly."
