He's been commenting on the release of part one of the Zondo Commission report, into state corruption, during former president Jacob Zuma's tenure.

Steenhuisen says the first step would be to charge those who've been accused.

He's called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to urgently table the first portion of the report in Parliament to enable the house to study its findings and take remedial action.

The Zondo Commission wants Tony Gupta to be investigated and charged with corruption.

This after allegations by former SAA executive Vuyisile Kona that the Gupta brother offered him half a million rand in return for favours at the national carrier.

Kona is among several others, including the former finance minister, Mcebisi Jonas who allege they were offered money by Gupta in return for favours.

Kona's allegations painted a similar picture to that of Jonas' he says he was invited to the Gupta home in Saxonworld and attended a meeting with Gupta and Duduzane Zuma.

Unlike Jonas who said he was offered R600 million off the bat. Kona says he was first offered R100 000 to welcome him to the family.

He told the commission that this figure increase to half a million rand and the money was available in cash. Like Jonas, Kona said he rejected the offer which upset Gupta and claims this led to his removal at the SAA.
