Justice Minister condemns attack on con court buildings

Justice Minister Ronald Lamola has condemned the attack at the Constitutional Court buildings in Braamfontein.

A 36-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly used a hammer to smash windows at the property yesterday.
The SAPS says the suspect didn't stop after officers fired a warning shot.

He's been charged with malicious damage to property and is due to appear in court soon. Justice spokesperson, Chrispin Phiri.
"The constitutional court is a powerful symbol of our constitutional dispensation, the supremacy of the rule of law in our country.
Any person who attacks such an institution is attacking exactly what our democracy represents.
