Zolile Khulamo case: Relief as murder accused abandons bail

The family of murdered MUT student, Zolile Khumalo says they are satisfied that the man accused of her murder has abandoned his bid for bail.
23-year-old Thabani Mzolo made a brief appearance in the Durban Magistrates Court yesterday.
He's accused of shooting 21-year-old Khumalo, believed to have been his ex-girlfriend, in her room at an off-campus residence in the Durban CBD last month.
Khumalo’s father, Comfort spoke briefly to journalists outside court yesterday.

He said his heart breaks every time he sees Mzolo, as he can only think how his daughter was taken away.
An emotional Khumalo is hopeful court proceedings will move along quickly.
He says no court outcome will bring his daughter back.
Mzolo is due back in court at the end of August.
